§ 11-24. Same—Slot machines, punch-boards, etc.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to keep on such person's premises or operate or permit to be kept on such person's premises or operated any slot machine of whatsoever name or kind in which there is any element of chance, or to keep on such person's premises or to operate or permit to be kept on such person's premises or operated any punchboard or any other kind of board or device in which there is any element of chance or which does not give a uniform and fair return in value for the money paid by any person for the privilege of punching or otherwise operating same; provided, this section shall not apply to automatic weighing, measuring, musical and vending machines or any other slot machine or device that gives a uniform and fair return in value for each coin deposited or paid for the privilege of using same and in which there is not any element of chance.
