§ 6-2. Appointment, term of municipal judge.

  • The court shall be presided over by one or more full-time or part-time judges, at the discretion of council. The municipal judges shall be appointed by the council for a term fixed by council, not to exceed four (4) years, or who shall serve at the pleasure of council. The compensation of the municipal judges shall be as from time to time determined by council. Vacancies shall be filled in accordance with section 14-25-25, Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended.
