§ 16-60. Definitions.

For purposes of this article, the following words shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them as follows:

City is the City of Newberry, South Carolina.

Chief of police is the chief of police of the city and includes his designated assistants.

Parade is any parade, march, ceremony, show, exhibition, pageant, procession of any kind, rally or demonstration or any similar display in or upon any street, sidewalk, public place, park or other outdoor places owned or under control of the city.

Parade permit is a permit as required by this article.

Person is any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company, group or organization of any kind.

Unit is a person, vehicle or conveyance participating in a parade.
