§ 11-19. Drinking in public—Generally; possession of open container.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to drink or consume any alcoholic beverage, including beer, in a public place within the city.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person to have in such person's possession in a public place in the city an open bottle or can containing any alcoholic beverage, beer or wine.
